The Barcelona Cable Landing Station (CLS), owned by AFR-IX telecom, and ESpanix announce their agreement that allows companies, which can reach CLS by local connection or submarine cables, to access all ESpanix services, in particular the ESpanix Neutral Node.

Following the launch of the ESpanix Reach service last April, which gives access to ESpanix from the main European data centers, this agreement extends the presence of the neutral node to the city of Barcelona.

The new access point is attractive for Catalan operators and companies, since it allows to enjoy the advantages of being connected to the ESpanix Neutral Node.

Besides, CLS customers can directly access the largest network concentration in the country without worrying about the link to Madrid.

Lastly, this new POP is part of ESpanix´s growth strategy, which reinforces its position as the largest digital hub in Southern Europe and represents the most effective tool for minimizing the cost and latency of the networks that make up the Internet.
